Condell Eastmond is the Area Director of the Fort Lauderdale Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) Area Office. He started with the Agency in the Bayside New York OSHA Office in 1999, transferred to the Fort Lauderdale OSHA Area Office in 2000,  and was promoted to Area Director in 2013. Condell earned a Master’s Degree in Environmental and Occupational Health Science from Hunter College, City University of New York (CUNY). Prior to OSHA, he worked as an Industrial Hygienist with the New York City Board of Education. Condell has 25 years of experience in the occupational safety and health field.

Mrs Leny has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering; and has technical experience in industrial hygiene, process safety management, general industry, and construction standards.

Prior to working with OSHA, she worked for numerous years as an Industrial Hygienist in the petrochemical industry. Ms. Chango has been working with OSHA since 2012; she started as an Industrial Hygienist and then, as a Safety and Health Officer in the Fort Lauderdale Area Office,before transferring to the Houston North Area Office in 2019. 

In 2022, Ms. Chango returned to the OSHA Fort Lauderdale Office as an OSHA Compliance Assistant Specialist.

Miriam F. Escobar is a Safety & Health Consultant and Industrial Hygienist for the USF SafetyFlorida Consultation Program. Miriam joined the program in the summer of 2022. Before joining the program, she worked in COVID-19 response for the Florida Department of Health, a military contractor, and was an active-duty member of the US Air Force. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Geography & Economics from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. She also has a Master of Arts in Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies and a Master of Science in Public Health in Occupational Exposure Science from the University of South Florida in Tampa.

Industrial engineering professional with a master’s degree and specialization in occupational safety and health from the University of the North. Over 17 years of work experience in companies in the chemical, metallurgical, food sectors, and academia as head of the Occupational Safety and Health (SST) department. Industrial hygiene lecturer for the occupational safety specialization at the University of the North. Certified by the British NEBOSH HSE international and IRCA auditor for Integrated Management Systems (HSEQ).

With over twenty years of executive leadership experience in Human Resources and Organizational Development Departments in Colombian and multinational companies, across the telecommunications, steel, large-scale mining, and food sectors, Ana María is an expert in designing strategies and leading corporate projects. Her career spans the development of leaders and employees at all levels through training and leadership strategies. She also excels as a consultant in strategic direction and planning for startups, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

In her role as a Human Resources leader, she has demonstrated exceptional commitment to integrating occupational risk prevention and health deterioration into all business activities and decisions. Her strategic and operational focus has allowed for effective intervention, where stakeholder engagement, aligned leadership, and a strong organizational culture have been fundamental in preventing accidents and occupational illnesses, controlling absenteeism, and ensuring business preparedness for emergencies.

Ana María holds a degree in Psychology from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá, Colombia), a specialization in Business Administration from Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá, Colombia), a Master’s degree in Human Talent Management from the Center for Financial Studies (Barcelona, Spain), a Certification in Human Resources Management from the University of Miami (USA), and is a certified coach by the Academy of Coaching and Holistic Leadership (HLCA) in Miami (USA).

Mauricio Madrid is a seasoned safety professional with over 15 years of experience in the field. With a background focused on both domestic and international projects, he has developed expertise across various safety aspects, including PPE, heat illness, arc flash, and fall protection. Currently serving as a Territory Manager for Guardian Fall Protection, Mauricio oversees operations in Florida, the Caribbean, and Central and South America, dedicating his efforts to representing Guardian Fall Protection, and ensuring comprehensive safety standards in the region.

Gynecologist-Obstetrician from the University of Valparaíso, with a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and Biochemistry from Universidad Mayor, and holding the 2021 International CSSN Certification, ISAK Level II, and Nutritionist Instructor. Director of SST Services at Prevsis and responsible for the multidisciplinary functional implementation of complex Health and Safety projects in Latin America, covering the implementation of technological health monitoring workflows for employees in corporate settings.

Carlos Mahecha is a professional with extensive experience in the media. He graduated in Visual Media Production from the Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale and obtained a degree in Radio Broadcasting from the City College of Broward. He began his career in Television at PBS WXEL 42, where he did an internship; then moved to WPTV, where he hosted the program "Hablando con la Comunidad”, a program that led him to become interested in meteorology and therefore, he obtained from NOAA the certification to produce Hurricane reports and thus fulfilled his desire to help even more the Hispanic community.
He joined Radio Fiesta in 2006 and later assumed the position of Director at Azteca 48 WWHB. There he created and produced Enfoque Comunitario, a program that stood out for its commitment to public service and received recognition in Palm Beach County. In addition to his work in television, he has contributed articles to The SENTINEL and has participated in several radio stations in South Florida. Currently, he is recognized for his work at CBS12 News, where he anchors a 30-minute newscast that addresses issues relevant to the Hispanic community, his online

presence is also notable, with a digital platform that has more than 120,000 followers. Beyond his media work, Mahecha is an influential voice in the South Florida Hispanic community, committed to improving the quality of life of its members and providing accurate and relevant information.
