Condell Eastmond is the Area Director of the Fort Lauderdale Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) Area Office. He started with the Agency in the Bayside New York OSHA Office in 1999, transferred to the Fort Lauderdale OSHA Area Office in 2000,  and was promoted to Area Director in 2013. Condell earned a Master’s Degree in Environmental and Occupational Health Science from Hunter College, City University of New York (CUNY). Prior to OSHA, he worked as an Industrial Hygienist with the New York City Board of Education. Condell has 25 years of experience in the occupational safety and health field.

Leny Chango

OSHA Compliance Assistance Specialist.

Mrs Leny has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering; and has technical experience in industrial hygiene, process safety management, general industry, and construction standards.

Prior to working with OSHA, she worked for numerous years as an Industrial Hygienist in the petrochemical industry. Ms. Chango has been working with OSHA since 2012; she started as an Industrial Hygienist and then, as a Safety and Health Officer in the Fort Lauderdale Area Office,before transferring to the Houston North Area Office in 2019. 

In 2022, Ms. Chango returned to the OSHA Fort Lauderdale Office as an OSHA Compliance Assistant Specialist.

Linette Pruna Padilla is a Safety & Health Consultant and Industrial Hygienist for the USF SafetyFlorida Consultation Program. She joined the organization in 2022. As a consultant, she provides compliance assistance and promotes continuous improvement of safety and health management systems for employers in the state of Florida. From 2010 to 2022, Mrs. Pruna Padilla was a Compliance Safety and Health Officer for the U.S. Department of Labor – Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), conducting enforcement inspections in central Florida. Mrs. Pruna Padilla has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene, both from the University of Puerto Rico.

Before joining the program, she worked in COVID-19 response for the Florida Department of Health, a military contractor, and was an active-duty member of the US Air Force. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Geography & Economics from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. Carlos Mahecha is a professional with extensive experience in the media. He graduated in Visual Media Production from the Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale and obtained a degree in Radio Broadcasting from the City College of Broward. He began his career in Television at PBS WXEL 42, where he did an internship; then moved to WPTV, where he hosted the program "Hablando con la Comunidad”, a program that led him to become interested in meteorology and therefore, he obtained from NOAA the certification to produce Hurricane reports and thus fulfilled his desire to help even more the Hispanic community.
He joined Radio Fiesta in 2006 and later assumed the position of Director at Azteca 48 WWHB. There he created and produced Enfoque Comunitario, a program that stood out for its commitment to public service and received recognition in Palm Beach County. In addition to his work in television, he has contributed articles to The SENTINEL and has participated in several radio stations in South Florida. Currently, he is recognized for his work at CBS12 News, where he anchors a 30-minute newscast that addresses issues relevant to the Hispanic community, his online

presence is also notable, with a digital platform that has more than 120,000 followers. Beyond his media work, Mahecha is an influential voice in the South Florida Hispanic community, committed to improving the quality of life of its members and providing accurate and relevant information.
