Claudia Patricia Vega is a distinguished Colombian psychologist with over 20 years of experience empowering and uplifting the Hispanic community in the United States. A graduate of the Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Colombia with a Master\u2019s degree in Education from Nova University, Claudia has dedicated her career to transforming challenges into meaningful opportunities for immigrant families.<\/span><\/p>

Driven by a passion for social integration, Claudia has created and led impactful programs such as <\/span>\u201cC\u00f3mo Vivir y Tener \u00c9xito en USA\u201d (How to Live and Succeed in the USA)<\/b>, <\/span>\u201cCaminando Juntos\u201d (Walking Together)<\/b>, and <\/span>\u201cCreciendo Juntos\u201d (Growing Together)<\/b>\u2014initiatives that have become cornerstones of personal and community development for Latino immigrants in South Florida.<\/span><\/p>

In 2003, she was invited by the Multicultural Department of the Palm Beach School District to train over 150 teachers on the unique needs of immigrant populations. Her influence has continued to grow through collaborations with institutions like <\/span>Palm Beach State College<\/b> and the <\/span>Embassy of Colombia in Washington<\/b>, where she contributed to the 2010 <\/span>Colombian Diaspora<\/b> event.<\/span><\/p>

Since 2011, Claudia has led motivational support groups, participated in community radio programs, and served as a <\/span>Parent Educator<\/b> in high-risk communities. Her work in <\/span>Casa del Monte<\/b> with the <\/span>SafetyNet program by Homesafe<\/b> has directly benefited over <\/span>75 single mothers and their children<\/b> (2021\u20132023), promoting self-awareness, family communication, and access to essential community services such as <\/span>ELC<\/b>, the <\/span>Drowning Coalition of Palm Beach County<\/b>, <\/span>Legal Aid<\/b>, the <\/span>Sheriff’s Office<\/b>, <\/span>Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies<\/b>, and <\/span>Cl\u00ednica Caridad<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

In 2024, Claudia co-created the <\/span>First Occupational Health and Safety Symposium<\/b>, a groundbreaking event that set new standards for the protection and wellbeing of immigrant workers across the region.<\/span><\/p>

Claudia is also a <\/span>specialist in building strategic alliances<\/b> with public and private entities, including <\/span>Florida International University<\/b>, <\/span>University of Florida<\/b>, <\/span>OSHA<\/b>, <\/span>University of South Florida (USF)<\/b>, and <\/span>Prevsis<\/b>. Through these partnerships, she has successfully promoted workplace training initiatives, OSHA certifications, and community-based health prevention programs\u2014bridging knowledge, opportunity, and impact.<\/span><\/p>

Currently, Claudia splits her time as <\/span>Supervisor of the Early Connections Program<\/b> at <\/span>The Arc of Palm Beach County<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Program Director at ICA<\/b>, where her visionary leadership continues to shape innovative, education-driven solutions that uplift and empower the Hispanic community.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
